What comes out from your mind when people talk about HSR or ECRL ? It's a train right ? okay now i would like to discuss about the benefit of HSR and ECRL to people nearby . Before we are going further , let's begin with what is that HSR and ECRL .  Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project was announced by the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib in September 2010 to connect Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru with Singapore. The East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) is a proposed railway line connecting Kuala Lumpur to the states of the East Coast Economic Region namely Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan. The rail line will carry both passengers and freight from the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia to its East Coast and vice versa. So what is the benefit of these railway ? 1 Malaysia is an ongoing programme designed by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on 16 September 2010, calling for the cabinet, government agencies, and civil servants to more strongly emphasise ethnic harmony, national unity, and efficient governance. SL1M is Skim Latihan 1 Malaysia  Programme that was launched on 1 June 2011 in support of the Government’s initiative to enhance the employability of unemployed graduates through exposure in industry based on workforce requirements and to prepare them for future employment opportunities. I am very like this programme because it really help fresh graduate that do not get their job. For those who did not know, Malaysia goverment have done a lot of initiatives in order to increase the economic and income per capita.Firstly,confronted by the pressures of a contracting global economy and the threat of being caught in the middle-income trap, in 2010 the Malaysian Government unveiled the New Economic Model (NEM) that was needed to transform Malaysia into a high-income nation by 2020.The goal of the NEM, according to Najib, is to "transform the Malaysian economy to become one with high incomes and quality growth" by 2020 At the time of the plan's unveiling in 2010, per capita annual income in Malaysia stood at 23,100 Malaysian ringgit approximately $7,000 in US currency the plan's stated goal is to reach RM49,500 (US$15,000).
