What comes out from your mind when people talk about HSR or ECRL ? It's a train right ? okay now i would like to discuss about the benefit of HSR and ECRL to people nearby . Before we are going further , let's begin with what is that HSR and ECRL . 

Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project was announced by the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib in September 2010 to connect Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru with Singapore.

The East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) is a proposed railway line connecting Kuala Lumpur to the states of the East Coast Economic Region namely Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan. The rail line will carry both passengers and freight from the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia to its East Coast and vice versa.

So what is the benefit of these railway ? Actually there is a lot of benefits of these railway .

THE BENEFIT OF HSR

One of the benefit  is , it will connect 7 cities in Malaysia to Singapore, following a coastal route. It will also provide safe, efficient and optimal transportation and will be the solution for heavy congestion in these areas . It has 6 transit location which is Putrajaya, Seremban, Ayer Keroh, Muar, Batu Pahat & Iskandar Puteri . The speed of HSR is 300km/hr . It will make people experience comfort and luxury at high speed.

Besides , the benefit of the HRS is job opportunities . When the construction start until end and start operations , many people will be involved in that process in term of various capacity and manpower. Also, this will result to business opportunities in diverse sector including tourism, hospitality and more.

Next,  benefits of the HSR is to reduce the travel time between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to 90 minutes by strengthening the link between two of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant and fast-growing economic engines. In addition, the HSR presents an opportunity to open up and rejuvenate smaller cities in Peninsular Malaysia by connecting them to the two major metropolises. The HSR is an efficient and safe mode of transport which results in dramatic travel time savings.

THE BENEFIT OF ECRL

Now we proceed with the benefit of ECRL . The benefit of ECRL is it will smoothen traffic flow  . when people use the railway , th number of vehicle on the road will decrease and it can avoid traffic jam that everybody really hate it especially during critical hour ( when people go to work and back from work ).

Aside from that, we can save on transport costs if we take the train, compared to filling up RM10 worth of petrol daily for example from Kertih to Dungun . This really help people save their money .  Who want to pay more for the same destination ?

Lastly, it can reduce environmental pollution. When the number of vehicle on the road can be reduce, it's also will reduce the emission of the carbon dioxide from the fuel . In fact, it will help to save our earth for next generation.
